For the guy teachers or coaches out there, my husband loves gift cards to places like Academy Sports or fast food places near the school. My mother-in-law is a movie fanatic and loves when she gets gift certificates to the movies. And yes, they both love cash, too! They don't think it's thoughtless at all. I had a parent last year give ME a gift card to La Madeline’s as a thank you for supporting the baseball team. It was totally unnecessary, which made me all the more grateful that someone noticed my commitment to their kids as well. As the wife and daughter-in-law of teachers, I love this blog idea.
