I’m in recovery… You see, I’m a control freak and I’ve tried everything under the sun to help my husband discover salvation in Christ. 
For 20 years I’ve shared my married life with my unbelieving husband. And, with all my manipulations and striving I forgot one thing. Jesus doesn’t need my help to save my husband. Thank you very much.
Finally after years of frustration for the both of us, I realized I placed a tremendous amount pressure on myself and my spouse trying to control his journey to faith. After I surrendered my control, peace flooded our relationship.
I trust God with my husband and I know in His perfect timing, God will reveal Himself to my man. And even if your husband is a believer and you are waiting for God to move in an area of his life, you too can know God will bring about His perfect plant. However, the waiting is often difficult. But it’s in the waiting that I’ve learned the greatest secret to peace in my marriage.
I pray.
I bring my husband before the Mercy Seat with Jesus at my side. It is my prayers that have transformed our marriage. And it’s my 
prayer for my husband that breathes hope, protection and joy into our lives. I pray something like this.
1 Corinthians 13:7 Love always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
Almighty God,
I approach your throne with Jesus at my side, bringing my husband before you. Lord, I ask your favor upon him this day. In some way reveal yourself to him. Let my husband catch a glimpse of the astonishing. Place believing men in his life today, on the phone, at the office, even during his lunch break. Lord, allow your word to seep into his mind and be relentless in your pursuit of his soul.
Father, I ask you to protect him from evil people and evil spirits. Grant him favor and a strong work ethic. Urge him to always be fair and honest and be a man of character.
Bless him richly and Father, reveal your son Jesus to my husband. Open his eyes to see and his heart to know life-change is freely his.
Lavish your love upon him. As I know love always protects, always trust, always hopes and always perseveres. In the p

I’m a christian but my fiance (who once was saved) has walked away from church not so much God. My family is having a hard time with my choices and have been very judgemental towards him.
I pray daily not only for my man but that my family also. We all sin no one is perfect. I ask those who will, to join me in prayer.
Though this was posted a few years ago, I am blessed that I came across this today as it applies so closely to my marriage, my husband and I has our first marriage counseling yesterday and the biggest hurdle we face is his salvation. The pastors wife urged me to just pray and as I have just started my walk with Jesus I am in need of as many advice and suggestions on how to pray for my husband I am not very eloquent. I hope that you are still blessing your readers with this book and that through Gods will I may be a receipient of this blessing. I pray for all my sisters and their spouses in Jesus name Amen!

I’m here not sure what to say.
It’s now about one year since God put Dineen and Lynn in my life, and both of them know what’s going on in my life and my marriage. Very difficult, hard and painful…
Prayers, yes I do, today, yesterday…each and everyday. They’re not what I’d like or think them they should be…most times, right as of today, the only words I can manage to utter are “God please help me!!!”.
BUT I suppose and/or must try to think that “we do not know what to pray for as we ought, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words” (Romans 8:26-28).
My spiritual life has been like a chaos this past year, but prayer is the ONLY weapon I wear, just as king David had the sling to fight against Goliath. The big difference between David and I is that he was confident he would win over the philistine.
Yes I prayed today for my husband, David (his name is same as king David…LOL). BUT I do need to pray also for myself, otherwise I won’t be ready to stand firm…
I prayed for my husband that he would seek a deeper relationship with Christ so he could truly know the kind of man God has created him to be.
I am so blessed by this today…I have been in prayer for my husband and sons not only today but this past week the Lord is pressing this message of prayer with fasting very strongly ..the letting go and getting on our knees is where the battle is won, i would love to read this book. My prayer goes like this. Father God I place John in your hands today. May whatever he does and whatever he says be glorifying to you. May he never shame the name of Jesus. I pray that he may be a witness for you today in any way you can use him. Keep him safe from the evil one and may his light always shine for you. In Jesus Name, Amen.
I prayed for my husband today. I’ve been praying for years. I too have tried to force my faith, trying to rush God. I have been told to pray more, submit more, etc. and some have gone so far as to say I just don’t have enough faith to get him saved. It can be frustrating getting so many different opinions. I just pray now that God would make Himself known.
I’m so glad I found this post! Praying for my hubby especially now that we are apart for 6 weeks due to job transfer back up north.. I miss him! This came right at the purposeful time.. thank you!

God gave me 1 Peter 3 for my husband over 20 years ago, and for me, the same thing happened, once the control was gone, things were so much better, and he DID come to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior. This is an amazing prayer. It reminds me to pray for my husband’s spiritual walk, which gets lots in the busyness and distractions of our lives. I pray that God would be his focus and that there would be other christians that come alongside him to encourage him. I am so blessed to have a husband who is saved and knows the importance of his walk with God. I grew up in a home with my mom the believer and my dad unsaved. After getting married, I began to recognize the struggles that my mom faced with having a husband who did not lead her or encourage her spiritually… Recognizing this gave me such appreciation for my husband, and is a constant reminder to pray for his, so the devil does not try to sneak in with any kinds of distractions. If I got the book for today, I would definitely give it to my mom.

I have a wonderful husband who loves the Lord and me, and our girls. I know there are ways that we need to work together to grow in our faith and relationship with God. I am very humbled to pray for him in this way today…and then wait in expectation for Him to work! So glad to continue this journey of praying specifically for him this week!

Oh man. This book would be wonderful. I prayed for my hubby and even though he came to Christ at an early age, and I who didn’t until after we were married, I am now the more spiritually mature in our house. This has caused strain and some resentment. God bless you ladies in similar situations.
I prayed for my husband today on my drive to work. After reading today I realize that I too am a control freak who needs to surrender my control to God. I have been praying for my husband for 23 years. I have to daily remind myself to put my trust in God though sometimes difficult, especially when tragedy comes on the scene. What a beautiful prayer for our husbands. I love it! I prayed it for my husband. I learned to let go and let God a few months ago, and my marriage has blossomed in that time. Let us never forget to pray for our husbands. Even the most faithful, church-loving men have multiple temptations every single day.
