There has been some great advice and tips given so far this week. Today’s question is, what do you leave for the babysitter? Do you leave a list with the important information and detailed schedule of the kids routine? Do you just toss out some pj’s? Are snacks and dinner planned out? Are you lucky enough to have people who know your family so well they have the whole routine down?
What do you leave for your babysitters?
whoah this weblog is magnificent i like studying your posts.
Keep up the ggood work! You recognize, lots of individuals are looking round for this info,
you could help them greatly.
We always leave a detailed list for the babysitterwith instructions on routines, emergency #’s, favorites…anything that can make their stay a little easier. http://www.care4hire.com
I saw a “While You Were Out” form that the babysitter would fill in while the parents were out. On the form were blank spaces for: Activities, Meals and Snacks, Naps, How Did We Do Today/Tonight?, and Notes for the Parent.
P.S. This posted later: Mission accomplished. We have completed the date.
When our kids were all younger and we had a babysitter come in, I tried to make it as easy as possible for her. This would include a sheet with our contact information, emergency information (such as our address, which a babysitter would not likely know), a schedule of when our kids would go to bed, and basic rules she could expect the kids to follow.
One extra: Sometimes for a new sitter, I’d make little signs and put them on the cupboards to make it easy for her to find silverware, cups, plates, etc. One of our sitters absolutely loved this.
