Asking for Prayer
Hey ladies – it has been quiet here on the blog this week. I have been working and speaking but mostly I have been writing.
I have a new book, “The Me Project” that is coming out at the end of the year, but it’s due in three weeks.
Oy to the Vey.
So my HP laptop and I have become one. But not in a bloggy sort of way.
And that makes me sad ’cause I miss you girls.
So here is a way for me to stay connected with you, and stay focused on the whole putting words on paper thing:
- Would you pray for me? Just for today? Here are some of the things I would love prayer for:
* That I would meet my deadline for this book – April 1
* That I would write effectively and in a way that honors God but also reaches the hearts of women reading the book
*That I would continue to honor Roger and the rest of the family in the process (in other words, that I don’t go all witchy on my family…) - Can I pray for you? In the comments, please leave your prayer request. I promise to pray for you! Of course I will pray for you! And thank-you for praying for me and the rest of us! Prayer request– That I too will be faithful in the work God has called me to do. That the words I write will be the words He wants written
and they reach the people that He wants to be reached. Pray that I can prioritize my schedule and not get so distracted and so easily put things aside.

I could use mega-prayer as my husband and I enter the final stages of our IVF cycle. Pray that this time next month I am pregnant with a healthy li’l one!
Will do. I could use prayers for our blended family as well as my stepson (14 yo) is in juvenile detention and it is a tough place to restirct his visitation to our house for the safety of others at this time with the poor decisions he has made.

Praying praying praying for you, even if it’s a tad bit selfish because I want the book 🙂 Also praying you don’t become overwhelmed.
Will you please pray for my body and the baby in my womb? We’re struggling with pre-term labor this week. Today I’m 19 weeks along, so another 18 with this baby inside would be great.
Also because that’s setting me back, I feel like Easter is about to sweep me under (I work in Children’s Ministry). Both of my co-workers will be on vacation before then, so I’m feeling scattered and unprepared.
Love this idea, thanks for giving us ‘righteous women’ an opportunity to pray for you!
You are and will be in my prayers. I admire your profession. We need those great women of the Bible in the light of the world to show the rest of the race they are not alone.
My prayers are always for my blended family dynamics. I have four step daughters and two ex-wives and this makes for a lot of letting go at times. I have never had so many feelings ebb and flow thru me. My husband and I are taking a financial peace class by Dave Ramsey and would love prayer around staying focused too. Thank you so much. Blessings to you as you let the pen meet the paper to say what the Lord has to share with the world.
Kathi – Thanks so much for asking, I gladly will add you to my prayer list today. I have no doubt you will meet your deadline and with some amazing material for all of us. I would love to swap your prayer for one of my own that’s weighing heavy this week. We were asked to move in with my Mother in law. Great opportunity for a house and location for our kids, but obvious other fears. So if you could just lift this one up and ask for some clarity and peace in making the decision that would be wonderful.
So happy to hear there is a “me project” coming!!! That’s going to keep me so pumped. Looking forward to seeing you 4/30 at CPC. Happy Friday.

Please pray for me as I decide where to go next in my writing career. R thinks it’s time to step away from the Zoo Book (this kills me) and look to something new and fresh. I need divine help in figuring out what that is.
And I’m just in a slump right now. Pretty sure it’s mostly a time-of-the-month thing, but the writing stall has got me down too.
