I never realized how often I said this particular phrase until after I had taught at a weekend retreat.
Everything that could have gone wrong, did.
There was infighting in the group, the facility was overrun with spiders, and the woman who was suppose to assist me with one of the worship exercises decided she knew how to do it better than I did and created an entirely new session. (Without bothering to inform me.)
When I got back the evaluation forms from the committee, one of the questions that was asked was, “What did you take away from the weekend?” Lot’s of women wrote down spiritual insights that they gathered from the event, but the number one answer was “It’s All Good”.
I guess I say it a lot.
So when I saw this mug on vacation in Oregon, I knew I must posses it.
It has been a hard month. Roger’s step-father passed away, his step-mother ended up in hospital in Utah (they live in Georgia) and I have to say, this oil spill thing has had a remarkably saddening effect on me.
However, there is a lot of good stuff going on.
- I really like the guy I’m married to
- I’m going to see Wicked tomorrow in San Fransisco
- I get to write for a living
- God keeps loving me despite a lot of reasons He could choose otherwise
- Northern California strawberries
And because I want you to spend a little time thinking about what’s all good in your life, post something by Wednesday night at 9:00 CA time that’s good in your world and I’ll enter you to win a $5 gift card to Starbucks (because Starbucks? That’s all good…)
I got to speak to Kathi Lipp in person the other day and It made me feel like I won the lottery. Dispite all of satens scemes to bring me down God is greater and stronger then he will ever be.
Let today be a blessing for all of His Children

2. I have 2 boys who bring me so much joy, it can bring me to tears!
3. I am surrounded by family who support me throughout each different phase of my life.
4. I have a small group of women who pray for me each week whether I feel like I need it or not.
5. Leftovers for dinner tonight without any complaints!
It’s ALL good!
It is all good…I’m coming up on 2 years of being cancer free! And soon to celebrate my 50th birthday! Two years ago I wasn’t sure if I would live to see my 48th birthday and couldn’t even think beyond that. Now 2 years later I can honestly say that these past 2 years were all good…not easy but good. I learned so much about God and about myself. Life is good and God is GOD!
We recently were forced to downsize from a 2600 square foot house to a 1200 square foot house. I have three children, ages 9, 5, and 3. My mid-size kitchen appliances are all in the garage. I have given up the craftroom, the laundry room, the office, and the playroom. We can’t use any water in the house without scalding the one in the shower. The outlets are all so loose that things don’t stay plugged in. And I can honestly say that I haven’t been happier in a long time. My house is small enough
to clean in less than 2 hrs
to hear the beginning of the fights between my kids
to convince me that my children need fewer toys and more meorable trips for gifts
to leave room for a swing set, a climbing tree, a garden, and paito furniture in my yard
to have a reason to not host every family party
to have a rent payment small enough to leave some money left over for ….anything!
to give me time to do the things I really love!
Ah… to write down what I am grateful for would take notebooks! I will try to wrap it all up in one thought:
I do not need a mug to add to my cupboard. How blessed am I to even have a cupboard to call my own and mugs to place in it?
Thank you for the reminder to focus on the good in my life!
After a very long weekend of travel (we drove from Utah to N. CA yesterday) I have been SO encouraged to read all of you “It’s All Good” statements. So glad it’s a random drawing and I don’t have to choose. Thanks for blessing me today!
We stepped out on faith by moving from AZ to CA without a job lined up or place to live. My husband was hired within 2 weeks and we’re working on finding a house. God always provides!
Even though my husband has been unemployed for 3 & 1/2 months – we are still getting the bills paid and seeing God show up in unique and AWESOME ways – as our provider! I’m truly thankful that He promises to provide for our NEEDS (which are actually very few “things” when you take the “WANTS” out of the equation!)
Lots and lots of “good” in my life…!
Number one right now….I’m going on VACATION on Thursday! Yay…! It’s been a year since we went anywhere:)
Many truly GOOD friends….and GOOD coffee…who could ask for more? Like the comment above…I could go on and on…but I won’t! You have to read all these…LOL
1. It’s summer!!!
2. I can run 2.5 miles in about 24 minutes!!!
3. I was blessed spiritually and financially by my church. Incredibly blessed!
4. Incredibly blessed by those who take an interest in my children and their health.
5. Coffee
6. My spiritual desert is behind me. 🙂
7. My seven-year old loves her new braces!
I could go on and on and on and on and on……
My good stuff is that God has blessed me with a wonderful husband, family & friends. Another good thing is that my daughter, husband & 2 grand daughters are living with us right now for financial reasons. Even though it is often trying, financially and dealing with a 4 year old and a 7 year old again, I have been blessed in being here to see them grow up. Many grandparents get the phone calls saying “Oh! she did this today or said that today.” I get to see it first hand and I am loving it!
I’m the director of our VBS and we’re having an awesome week. Lots of new kids getting to hear about Jesus! And I have the best VBS staff! We’re all having a a blast while working together. This is a well-oiled body of Christ and they shine for Him. I couldn’t be prouder or more pleased with this ministry. Plus, I have a baby granddaughter due to enter the world on Aug. 6. She’ll be the first sister to her three brothers. God is good!
After loosing my running partner and mentor, my wonderful husband started running with me. He is not a runner and had always said he didn’t have time to run, but his love and compassion for me made him my new running partner. To have a husband that loves me so much that he would literally do anything to ease my pain makes “it all good”! 🙂 God has truly blessed me with one of the best men on this earth!
God has blessed me in many ways to be able to say it’s all good! I have a wonderful husband and together we have a precious daughter. My family and my hubby’s family all live in town so we get to have plenty of time with them (and even some date nights where they watch our munchkin!). My daughter and I have found a church that we love. Our church has made us feel very welcome as a part of their church family. We have some wonderful neighbors and friends. Yes, we are very blessed, and it’s all good!
After a being separated for a 1yr & half my husband and I are back living under one roof. During these last 2 weeks during our transition and the move to a bigger house we both used this Phrase ” It’s All Good” to lift each other up during some melt down periods.
Hi Kathi. My son and I are about to go on a much needed vacation to Memphis, TN (with a side trip to Alabama) to see my best friend in the whole world and some family too. It’s soo good to get away and be able to share time with those we love in our lives. I am so excited and I am very fortunate to have such wonderful friends in my life!
What could be better than spending the summer In Beijing helping Chinese English teachers improve their English? It is the most amazing experience working with people who couldn’t be more appreciative and the best possible opportunity for developing kingdom relationships. Everything else in my life is fluff.
Well Kathi, I guess my good stuff going on is we just moved to Hawaii. But you know that still have not found a house but there is always the beach, my tan:) and the people. Who are very different in a good way like family, weird huh?! Hope all is going better I’ll keep you in my prayers. And I just love the iPad 🙂
Love ya and wish I was helping you at that retreat:) I’ll e-mail soon with an update on the house thing.
