All you have to do today is just brag on him a little.
Let it drop to his mom that he’s a great husband. Let your kids know that their dad is the smartest guy you know (or makes the best salsa in the world.) Brag to your girlfriend about how your husband knows how to hang up a towel.
It really is that easy.
Oh and to help you in this department, I’m offering a little special over at the store: buy one of the “My Husband is a Hottie” shirts over at the store, and just for this week they are $14 (usually $18.)
When my assistant, Sunnie wore this in front of her kids, her sons couldn’t BELIEVE that their mom would wear such a shirt. Yep – it’s the only shirt on the planet that can make your husband blush, your mother-in-law proud, and your kids embarrassed at the same time. Check it out in my store at http://www.kathilipp.com/products/ under OTHER. (They will be on sale through Friday.)
OH – and a head’s up! On Thursday, I want you to get your husband a treat – a candy bar, a slice of cake, something (that he doesn’t have to share with you or a kid…) so you may want to be on the lookout today for something to give him tomorrow!
Today’s winner will get a DVD of THE HUSBAND PROJECT.
I talked to my son about my husband and how he really is the coolest dad out there. Also that he is really smart and such a hard worker. It was so funny to see my son’s response. He is 3 and he said yeah mom he is and I want to be a police officer just like him when I get bigger! So cool!
I didn’t get a chance to comment yesterday, however as we were on the way home from a networking meeting, as we were talking about gas pricing trends, I let it “slip” to my 19 yr old that not only did I think her dad was pretty hot (which should get bounus points for embarassing the teen) but he’s incredibly smart. And then encouraged her to talk to her father about why gas prices go up for holidays.
I put on FB that my husband is the greatest hhusband and father 🙂
I bragged on my hubby to my kids at dinner and asked them if they knew they had the best Daddy in the whole world. They all knew it already!!
I just boasted on Facebook about my husband; how he’s very helpful with taking care of the grocery shopping even on very busy days like yesterday was. I know not a lot of husbands are willing to take on that task, but he’s fine doing that job; he will even take our boys with him if need be (and I won’t even shop with them!). I feel very fortunate. Sometimes I complain about how much he travels for work, but most of the time he’s home, and his flexible schedule allows him to pitch in with the household and family tasks.
on Facebook – even though my husband HATES painting, he is home painting our bedroom and looking after our two littlest boys so that I can be out running errands all by myself! Very definately a keeper.
My husband Sam is known for his over the top “straight talk”. While at church Sunday, I mentioned how precious he was and three men in our Bible class laughed out loud. “Those are two words I never thought I’d hear together, Sam and precious.” Mike snorted.
My response was, “Oh Mike, if you and the other guys knew the ‘little boy’ inside my man, you’d understand what I’m talking about. I hope you get to meet him someday.” The ladies smiled and I believe I saw a light-of-aha go on in the guys faces. You see, not only is my hubby a hottie, he’s a keeper!
Hugs to you Kathi!
I just got off the phone with my mother-in-law. She was calling to see if we had any storm damage from last night and I got to brag about how my hubbie went out this morning and picked up all the downed tree limbs before he went to work and how he works so hard for us. 🙂
Facebook post: is so thankful this morning for my awesome hubby. Micah was refusing to sleep after 3:30 this morning, and Andrew was a trooper trying to get him to sleep (after I gave up) and then finally cuddling with Micah in bed so we could all get some sleep.
I posted on FB…The beauty of Love is that even when you are woken up everyday at 4am your heart is smiling to see his handsome face!!! I love you my Kentucky!!…:)
I want to thank Lori for her comment and her prayers. Yesterday I felt like it was hopeless for me to do this 5 day challenge. But I will give it a try and see what God has in store for us. Looks like this morning, my husband was in a better mood. Kathi can you please let Lori know how thankful I am for her prayers and she can visit my blog. http://www.beads4prayer.blogspot.com. Thanks
Posted this a few moments ago on fb
My husband is a gentle giant.
“I am so proud of how he can navigate life with me and three kids. He works all week, serves his community and school all weekend, will help me do the stuff I need to do and still makes time to quiz homework & say prayers with our kids at night.
I am a lucky lady!!!”
However, the funny story, is this morning right before my hubs left for work. My car door was open and he leaned into to kiss me goodbye and my hands were moving around certain parts of his body. My son (who we did not know was watching us) looked at him with a sheek grin, and my husband looked back and said “what?”. My son said to my husband….”thats gross!”.
I have laughed all morning over his observation and acclaimation afterwards.
Thought I would share.
I’ve been taking a couple weeks away from blogging and doing some of the other little things I try to make time for in the week, recently, so I can spend more time doing some things my husband would appreciate seeing done at home before listing our house, so I’m hoping he’s feeling appreciated and admired all the time (because he IS!). And I definitely brag on him (that’s why I own 3 “My Husband Rocks” shirts in different colors, but I think I’ll have to add some “hottie” shirts in the mix, too – he wouldn’t see that coming!)
I’m going to have to give some thought to just how best to brag him up today. It’s so easy to find brag-worthy attributes, because he’s just that amazing! Love this challenge week! It’s so fun to focus on appreciating the good men God’s given us and to hear other women bragging on their husbands, too!
You go, girls!
This is awesome! And I totally want that shirt, because my husband is definitely a hottie.
I wrote on Facebook about my wonderful husband how he pampers me and great dad and loves the Lord. He is my tempture Gage when I get over heated!! Plus I put a sticky note for him on his lamp that told him that I am blessed to married to him.
It just so happens that this week is our wedding anniversary and I had already decided that each day I was going to post something nice about my husband as a Facebook status update. Monday morning I wrote:
“I’m grateful that not only does Bruce go to work every day so I can stay home, but he also gets up early with the girls every morning, even on the weekends! He’s so very thoughtful and completely understands my need for lots of sleep.”
Tuesday morning’s update is going to say:
“Bruce is happiest when he is being a student. Last night he got more earnest about teaching himself Greek and I couldn’t be prouder of him! His brain is amazing and I’m sure he’ll have it mastered in no time.”
I posted on my facebook “My husband is amazing! Distance does make the heart grow fonder.”
He is away on trip for a couple days, so I htought I would brag to all my facebook friends about him
