Friends – there are so many different areas of work to cover for your man. I’ve dedicated two chapters to it in my book Praying God’s Word for Your Husband. Since it’s the weekend, I’m keeping it short today. Pray for whatever aspect of your man’s work that applies – here is a simple prayer for his work.
Colossians 3:23
Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters
Father, I pray that every decision my husband makes about his work is influenced by you. Lord, I pray that he would sense you presence at every turn – that he wouldn’t be weary of doing good, being honorable, and working with all his strength as if he were working for you.

I prayed for my man today! He is off work today and tomorrow, and desperately needs a new job. I pray that God leads him to search for job openings, and that God gives him the confidence and encouragement he needs to apply and pursue those openings.
I love these “7 days of praying for your man” emails!!! I prayed for my husband’s work, and this prayer is actually incredibly appropriate, as we have a big change that is about to happen with my husband’s work, and while most of it is not our choice, he does have some say in the matter. So I am praying this prayer fervently!!

This topic is always sensitive for me cuz my husband works in a VERY negativve environment and I don’t know if there is anything or anyone positive or Godly working with him – I continually pray this prayer hoping that someone will come it and become a positive influence at his job. I have been praying the prayer each day and then also texted it to my hubby as we have had a very stressful week. He needed lifted up totally and his attitude shows. HE found out he needs cornea transplant surgery in two weeks.

Just yesterday at a prayer retreat, I listed one of my concerns as my husbands work and then it was the topic today. Have thoroughly enjoyed and appreciated your daily prayer guidance for my husband.
I am praying for my husband. His “job” is the ministry and when you are responsible for leading souls prayer is even more conveted. Since I have been praying more regularly for my husband and with a greater burden, our marriage has become even more romantic and stable.
Just about to leave for the weekend and before leaving went to open my email to check for your email so I could do the prayer before getting on my way, specially since he is working this weekend. A good Father’s Day present without him knowing I have been praying for him the last six days. 🙂

I pray for hubby and his job whenever we drive by his work – which is at least once or twice a day. Praying for his boss and his coworkers too! you can never have too much prayer!

My husband has been looking for work for a long time. While we have been praying for just the right position for him, it is easy to lose faith. Thank you for the encouragement to keep on praying.
Thank you for this blog. With all my mom and volunteer duties my husband gets pushed to the bottom of the list. By praying for him each day, he is closer to the top 🙂
Kathi, thank you do much for starting this challenge! I’ve been praying for my hubby every day and – though I shouldn’t be – I’m amazed at the difference it’s making for both of us. Such a simple thing to do but I’m ashamed to say that I don’t always remember. God is faithful in the big and small!!!

This couldnt have been more perfect. My husband has a very strong work ethic but in the army not everyone he works with does or appreciates it. He gets so weary of always doing good and never seeming to get anywhere.

I am still praying for my husband. He is at a crossroads in providing for his family and taking a risk to do something more fulfilling. I pray that God gives him the grace and insight to do what is in his plan for us. Amen : )
