Friends – as some of you who I hang out with on Facebook know, it’s a busy week. I’m doing radio and TV interviews, (and because of the TV interviews, I look a little like Mrs. Doubtfire under my clothes – all girdles and Spanx…)
I’ve asked for prayer on Facebook, and now I ask if of you.
Pray that I would be sensitive to the Holy Spirit’s leading in my meetings, my words, and my conversations.
Pray that I would use Godly wisdom in all that I do.
And let me pray for you.
Please put in the comments below how I can be praying for you. I will. I want to lift you up as you have done for me.
Love you all. Really.
Kathi
Hi Kathi, I am a “young” Christian. I feel as if my “husband” and I are living as roommates. He comes and goes as he pleases. He usually is skiing or sometimes at a bar, :(. He rarely tells me where he is going, or what his plans are. Ive asked him if he would include me, he says your right, but never does. He apparently likes his freedom and privacy. I think he wants to be single when he does that. Or am i wrong and should not feel like that? Sometimes he lies about his plans when I question him. Please pray for us, please give me some Godly wisdom/advice to what I should pray for?
Janet,
I am so sorry to hear of your struggle. Please visit Focus on the Family’s website. From there you can call a counselor who will be able to walk you through this. here is the link http://family.custhelp.com/app/answers/list/c/122/session/L3RpbWUvMTM2NDgzNDY4OC9zaWQvUGQ4eFdEbWw%3D
My marriage,my husbands mind, our finances. My pain.
Kathi, it was a blessing to pray for you. Your posts have been so helpful to me.
I ask for prayers that God will give me clear directions, as to what He will have me do in this season of my life. I was quite sure I knew but things have been getting quite muddled lately.
Pray for my marriage. We’ve been married over 20 years – all of those in ministry here and overseas. We’re facing some different ministry opportunities that are puling us in different directions. First time we haven’t been in unity over things. Praying for wisdom and direction.
Kathi –
I could really use prayers concerning our finances. We are bringing home about $300 less per month due to rising insurance costs and taxes going up. It was tight as it was and now for the first time in our marriage we are getting collection calls. Praise God my husband and I have a strong and loving marriage and I know we will weather this storm as well as the others we have gone through. The Lord knows my needs without my saying them but when two or more agree things really happen. Thank you Kathi! You have my prayers as well.
I would love to find PEACE! It feels like I ALWAYS have so much to do, so much is expected of me, but I feel like I’m the creator of all of the above! I would love a “system, schedule, recyclable menus, chore list(s)…”!!!!!!
Please pray for me as I embark on the husband project. That I will figure out how to spoil my hubby and change my mindset of feeling neglected. Pray that god show me how loved I really am and how I can change to feel wanted. Thank you
Could you pray for my family. My husband, John, and I will be celebrating 15years of marriage this month. My daughter, Amy, is 12 and has autism, we are having lots of meetings right now to help make the transition to Jr. High successful for her. My son, Steven, is 9 and suffers from ADHD and is having troubles with school and making friends. We also started a ministry for family raising children with autism called AutismHOPE. We could use a lot of daily prayers. Thanks
I prayed for you this morning, Kathi. Please pray for my brother to accept Jesus as his Savior and turn his life around. He’s an alcoholic/attick and needs deliverance before he dies. Thank you!
Prayed for your sweet brother, Linda.
Thank you so much, Kathi. I continue to pray for you.
If you could pray that I would finish school before my husband returns home from Afghanistan. We have been putting life on hold for 5+ years because of my schooling, and his military career. We are almost halfway done with this deployment and then he is getting out of the military and we can begin the rest of our lives together. If you could pray for his safety and safe return I would appreciate it (we are almost halfway done!).
Thank you for taking the time to pray for us. I am most definitely sending prayer up for you and the rest who comment!
Alicia – so much going on for you. Praying for strength and perseverance.
Please pray for our finances. My husband is self-employed and his business has been hurting with the economy the way it is these days. Pray also for our political leaders as their decisions make a huge impact in how small businesses are run. Thank you and I’ll be praying for all of you as well.
As a small business owner Kristen, I’m right there with you. Praying for our leaders and all of finances.
My prayer request: I’m struggling in nursing school @ the moment. I find myself feeling hopeless and unable to focus. The stress and the pressure is driving me crazy. Please prayer for me. So that I may pay it forward & continue enjoying helping others.
Jasmine – bless you girl. I pray for wisdom and strength especially for the coming month. And peace. Lots of peace.
Pray for my upcoming Daniel Fast….it’s time for me to give my weight and eating habits over to God, once and for all. Also, pray for my marriage; my husband is finally facing some of his issues and I need wisdom on how to heal my hurt from his actions.
I can empathize with trying to be supportive and over coming hurt at the same time. It can be very trying. Good gor you for staying strong.
Yes – praying for all you are going through.
I am trying to sell my home and woud like prayer that it will sell so that I may move closer to my son, daughter-in-law, and grandchildren.
What a great reason to move. Prayed for you Deborah.
Please pray for me to have patience with my kids!
Been there – praying.
I would like prayer for a boyfriend. 🙂
Amen. I pray that God reveals the godly man he has in mind.
Thank you, Kathi! 🙂
Prayers needed for me and my moms relationship. It’s been a struggle with a lot of issues. And now that my baby brother is getting married, God has really put it on my heart to talk to her. Yet, I am terrified! Please pray that God would give me the strength and encouragement to put my heart into words and mend our relationship. It’s been long over due. Praying for you and your ministry as well. Stay Blessed, Allie Shelton
Oh bless you. Walk boldly my friend. God is before you and behind you.
I am overwhelmed with so many things on my plate. I need to get my classroom ready for when I leave on maternity leave, get my house ready for my newborn, get my finances in order since my husband hasn’t worked in one month (thank God we haven’t been late on a single bill) and remember that God is in control. This procrastination is making me age.
I get it. Overwhelmed. Praying for you.
Please pray that I get my act together. I feel like I have 1,000 things to do but time allows for only 100. Pleas pray that I make the best choices.
Best choices – yes – praying that for you and for me.
I am having septoplasty surgery this friday march 8, 2013
thank you…my prayers are with you as well.
I had to look up septoplasty. Praying for an easy surgery friend.
My husband is in basic training for the Army and will away from us (myself and our 3 year old daughter) for a total of 26 weeks. I’d love it if you could pray for him to do well and for all of us to have strength!
YES! Praying for your whole family.
Both of us are not working. I left a job that I loved by listening to people who I trusted. I was sabotaged in the new position. I would like to get back into teaching. Prayer needed for both of us to have jobs to get us through to retirement. Please pray for husband as he can be very hurtful by the things he says.
Praying for peace for you and your husband Dixie.
One year ago today we said goodbye to my daddy as he danced into heaven. It will be a hard day but remembering all the things he taught me & spending some time with my mom & sister as well as my crew.
Stephanie as I was running around today you and your dad kept coming to mind. Continuing to pray for comfort for your whole family.
My husband is retiring early and we need health benefits, so I am going to get a job for the first time in 10 years. I have a second interview tomorrow for a job I feel anointed for! Prayer needed for job, Prayer needed for my unbelieving husband as he retires.
Chris you are so faithful. Prayed for you and your man.
Only recently discovered your page. Still getting to know you. So far, so good. There are so many needs. I feel a bit guilty putting them before God everyday. But He is our provision so I look to Him to open the doors for us. I really need a job that will pay the bills (me and many others, I’m sure). I also need a vehicle. Mine died (not to be resuscitated) last week and it really limits the opportunities for work. We are also legal guardians for a 6 year old girl (Carmela) with some unique medical issues. We’ve had her for over 5 years. Not having a vehicle makes it difficult to get to her medical appointments and other travel related to her needs. Please pray for a job, a vehicle and healing for her. Thanks. Prayers are very appreciated.
So much going on Yes – praying for you and all that’s going on.
Please pray for my nephew who is having health problems with pancreas. awaiting test results today to see what further action needs taken. Please pray for comfort from pain. May God be glorified through this. Thank you for your thoughts and prayers.
Prayed for you sweet nephew. Bless you and his family
Wanted to give Praise… He got report from scan that there was NO noticeable mass like on the first scan!!!! They still are not sure what problem is but we are thanking God that there was no mass. Please continue to pray for answers.
Whoo hoo! Love answered prayer.
Public school athletics…. may seem silly, but our oldest is in 7th grade. My husband and I are so discouraged of how it’s supposed to be an “equal opportunity” program but only select boys are invited to practices that go on for weeks behind closed doors. We found out yesterday at 3pm from another student & his parents that “if he had any interest in even trying out for baseball there was a mandatory meeting at 5pm” – our son was at a college competing in academic games and we rushed to get there only for him to “sit the bench”! Similar thing happened with basketball. Small town “politics”, I guess. It’s so very discouraging as parents and our son doesn’t understand. I’m sorry if it seems trivial, but it’s a trial that we are facing as parents and want to encourage our sons (have 4 more to follow) to rise above! Please pray we handle it in the manner that our Lord wants us to and we can ALL learn from this.
Not silly at all – that’s your baby they’re messing with. How frustrating! Prayed for you, your hubby, and your boy.
Thank you Kathi! My husband and I sent an email last night as “concerned” parents. The Athletic Director called me this morning and he even took the time to call my son into his office this afternoon and talk to him/answer his questions or address his concerns. My son attended practice this evening and it went well. I truly appreciate your prayers!
Praise God!!! I love how God is being so direct.
