Kathi and good friend Mary DeMuth, author of 36 books, come together to discuss the making and inspiration behind Mary’s new devotion, Jesus Everyday. The unique thing about this journal that interested Kathi so much is that the reader is learning how to communicate and connect with the Father on a deeper level.
Mary shares a part of her story where she began to see the power of prayer in her life. From those instances she became passionate about prayer for her own life. If praying is something you have trouble with, this is an amazing episode of inspiration, hope and empowerment for people in every walk of life.
Mary has generously given the podcast three copies of her new devotion, Jesus Everyday. Answer the following question in the show comments below for your chance to win: “How can I incorporate prayer into my life today?”

Today, I am home recovering from a difficult surgery. I realize that I pray in numerous daily conversations with God, but don’t always follow-up on thankfulness for answered prayer. Today, I will spend time in thanking God for answered prayer.
What a great outcome of this podcast, Kerri. I pray you are feeling better.
I want to start praying when I am up in the middle of the night nursing my daughter. I currently waste the time on my phone and I want to be more mindful of these precious moments of quiet I have.

Oh how beautiful, Danielle, and congrats on being one of the winners. I pray the book truly blesses you, even in the middle of the night.
I love the perspective that this book is using. Bringing prayer back to an integral part of life, every moment can be lived in prayer. I would love to read this book. Thank you for sharing this author with us.
Thanks so much for your insightful words, Linda. You can pick up Jesus Every Day wherever books are sold. But the cool thing is this: you can pray at any moment and Jesus hears you.
Jeanette.Jan. 26, 12am Thank you all so much for being prayerful. I really want to start including prayer into my whole day.
Jeanette, it’s as sweet and simple as breathing. Prayer is a continual conversation with God about everything you face in a day.
First, I just want to mention that I agree wholeheartedly with Mary and Kathi when they mentioned that the idea of prayer has been turned into something more difficult than it should be. For me, there are those times I spend with more structured prayer without time constraints, as well prayer that’s built in daily by just being aware of the presence of God in my life. Lately though, I’ve incorporated prayer in a different kind of way which usually begins with prayers of thanksgiving. For example, today I focused on my body or temple – what I put in it, what I put on it, where God wants to put me today, and what He wants to do with my hands and feet, etc. This leads me into thanksgiving and the right choices to make for food, clothing, what I see and listen to, who I can minister to – just for today. I thanked God I had my sight and the ability to drive my car (and that I had one) to help my friend out. I caught myself complaining about cleaning up after my four old lady cats but then began to thank Him for blessing them with long lives and for giving me the strength to continue taking care of them. So for me, consciously refocusing my daily complaints and/or frustrations into prayers of thanksgiving has incorporated more prayer into my life.

I love this, Laurie–a full body prayer!
I already pray throughout my day but it’s often short or interrupted. I want to be on purpose with my prayer life by finding a quiet place and setting a daily time of prayer.
I love that, Dana. What a great goal for 2018!
Prayer has become a huge part of my life so I am praying all the time. My prayer is a running dialogue that starts when I get up in the morning and ends when my finally fall asleep at night! BTW, loved today’s podcast! Both of you are amazing!
Thank you so much, Michelle! I love that you’re praying all day long.
I pray in the shower and while driving. This really helps keep the road rage down.

I didn’t catch all those autocorrect mistakes! Yay supposed to say praying while cleaning up around that house ensures a conversation with God.
