I find that taking time to dust my treasures brings me to a place of appreciation. If I am willing to take the time to keep them clean—then I know they are meaningful to me.
Oh my – I love this concept! I’ve not really thought about it in that way before, but I love having plants around the house… or by eliminating some of the excess stuff I give others space to think & breathe.
I keep a comfy chair by the window so I can spend time thanking God for his creation!
I try to have my bible next to my chair in my “happy spot” in my house so I can pick it up and read his word while getting the sunshine from my window.
I give him Thanks! And make room for him. I really try to clear the clutter because my heart is a reflection of that clutter. This includes time/schedule and our physical space.
That’s a really good question. We know God is everywhere but because we cannot physically see him, it’s hard to think of “recognizing God in your space.” As I think about that, what comes to mind is making my house peaceful and inviting (by that I mean living spaces are not cluttered and there’s comfy spots to sit with a cup of coffee, Bible/devotional.) God is always inviting us to come and rest. So that’s what I want my home to reflect.
